It is recommended to Test and inspect your TMP (Temperature and pressure relief) valve every 3 years by a licensed plumber. Sugar Land Residents, let me ask you: Have you had your TMP valve serviced? Do you understand what risks a faulty TMP? Well it’s like this. The TMP provides your Hot Water Heater a way for extreme pressure and temperature to escape with a secondary drain outside your home. Without a functioning TMP, your water heater, if it stacked enough pressure and heat, it could simply explode .. And that’s not really my cup of tea.
